tasteful tuesday : dried tomato & garlic pesto

This week's Tasteful Tuesday features:

Why do I love Tastefully Simple? Because it's simple, yet oh so tasteful :) Ok but seriously, Tastefully Simple offers SO many great products that will cut down your time in the kitchen WITHOUT getting rid of flavor! Below you'll see a dish I made with this mix in 15 min. My husband's first words were:

"wow, that is  phenomenal!"

I take NO credit for the taste! So you should def check out the recipe!

This pesto mix comes in a shaker jar like this....
                                                                                         ....it's 2.8 oz (6 Tbsp) for only $8.99!

OH! And it's all natural :)

To make the actual pesto all you need is is little olive oil and water! DONE!

But this little jar is not just pesto! Here is what I did with it the other night.

Dried Tomato & Garlic Tilapia
4 tilapia fillets
2-3 Tbsp Dried Tomato & Garlic Pesto mix
1 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 lemon

Lay tilapia fillets in greased oven safe pan. Sprinkle fillets with pesto mix. Top with breadcrumbs. Drizzle with olive oil and juice of lemon. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes. DONE!

I served it with french style green beans & a simple spinach
salad (with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes & dried cherries)

Stop by my Tastefully Simple site for this and many other yummy products!

insta-FRIDAY!

Today I'm "linking-up" with a fellow blogger for Insta-Friday! Woohoo!

life rearranged

Ok, so this was technically taken on Sat night but I had to share! Lindley Belle painted her Cici's & Nana's Mother's Day cards this year. As you can see, it was so fun. She was pretty upset when we took her off the table. Cici & Nana LOVED their Lindley Belle originals!

Mother's Day morning! Lindley Belle is wearing my baby dress.
So thankful my mom kept my old dresses!

3 generations of ladies on Mother's Day. We went out to dinner that evening to see my younger brother where he waits table. Poor guy had to work a 12 hour shift that day.

Running out the door I remembered I needed to go to the store.
So with baby on hip, I grabbed my phone and took a picture of my list on the fridge.

My Tastefully Simple May meal making party! I'll post more about meal making parties later.

This is Lindley Belle's new best friend. Do you have a teething little one?
Every heard of chew beads?? Check them out here! I've totally got Lindley Belle fooled :)

I made another wreath. This one went to one of my mom's friends from Gap!

So I follow The Small Things Blog and she talks about this uplifting foam ALL the time so I went on a search to find it! Harder then you think. It's only sold in private salons. And out of all the salons in the entire city of Memphis, only ONE salon sells it! I'm super pumped about trying it.

Craig and I got new glasses!! I'm super excited about mine :) We got TWO pairs of glasses for $25! How did we do that you ask? Check out this site.

Lindley Belle had her 9 month check up this week. Wait what?? Did I just say 9 month? Whoa. I saw a sweet pregnant friend yesterday and told her "I always hated when I was pregnant and people would tell me that it goes by so fast, so I won't tell you that...but...."
She past her check up with flying colors. DUH. Look at her! Hehe :)

I took a few other pics this week BUT they are being saved for a big reveal day :) Stay tuned!!

Do you blog? Do you take pics on your phone?? Link-up with us today!!

tasteful tuesday : key lime cheese ball

This week's Tasteful Tuesday features:

This yummy little dish was actually the very first Tastefully Simple product I ever had...and I didn't even know it was TS at that time. My sweet momma has been ordering TS for years! She always brought this Key Lime Cheese Ball on our beach vacations.

When you order it, it comes as a mix in a box...
.... but it's SO easy to make! $6.99

Simply mix 1 package of cream cheese (8oz) with the Key Lime Mix and let it chill for 2 hours. Once it's chilled, roll it in a ball and sprinkle with graham cracker crumbles (included!). There are lots of serving options too. My mom always uses graham cracker sticks. I've also used apple slices!

Tastefully Simple offers Twisty Grahams ....
...tastes like a graham cracker! $4.99

The number 1 question I always get about the products I sell is "what else can I do with that??" Well, that is prob my favorite thing about Tastefully Simple products....there are countless things you can do with just 1 product! For example, we had my younger brother and his girlfriend over for dinner a couple weeks ago. I wanted to make a light summer dessert without much effort. Tastefully Simple to the rescue! Tastefully Simple will become you best friend in the kitchen - I promise!!

Key Lime CheeseCAKE

1 Key Lime Cheese Ball mix
1 package cream cheese (8oz)
1 package whipped topping (8oz)
1 ready made graham cracker pie crust

Mix first 2 ingredients.
Once fully mixed, fold in 6 oz of whipped topping.
Spread into pie crust.
Sprinkle graham cracker crumbles.
Chill 2 hours.
Top with left over whipped topping.
ENJOY!

I topped mine with some fresh strawberry slices.

PERFECT light summery treat!

Check out my Tastefully Simple site for this and lots of other yummy products!

High Five for Friday!

Today I am linking up with Lauren at From My Grey Desk for her High Five For Friday!

Photobucket

1. My mom hung up the wreath I made her! This is the pic of it at my house but she hung it in her big kitchen window next to her kitchen table. It looks pretty fabulous there...if I do say so myself :)

2. We went to church in Crockett Mills, TN to visit the church and little town where Craig's grandparents (his dads parents) grew up. It was one of those places where time stands still...in a wonderful way. My father-in-law was so happy to bring Lindley Belle back there and show her off.

Lunch in the fellowship hall at Providence Baptist Church. The vintage high chair was super cute!

Lindley Belle visiting with her great-grandparents and her great Uncle Larry.

3. Contrary to popular belief,  our lovable goofball chocolate lab, Jake did NOT get swept to the side after Lindley Belle was born. He is still a very important member of our family! Jake and Lindley Belle are the best of friends. This week I bought Jake a new bed. He loves it and I randomly find him upstairs laying in it throughout the day. BUT the night I brought it home, he was a little unsure....one paw at a time I guess :)

4. We bought our first pack of diapers this week. When I was pregnant, the faculty at SBEC (where my husband works) hosted a "Diaper Dump" for us. 9 months later we were paying for our first pack of diapers. Wow. We are SO SO SO grateful for their generosity!

5. I finally finished this little sitting area that I have been working on since we moved a couple weeks ago (I'll post all about that soon!). So far, it's the only spot in the house that I can say is DONE! Yay :)

Here is a close up of the pics on the wall.

Happy Friday everyone! You should also link up with High Five Friday and share your top 5's!

mark. monday : Get A Tint

Every Monday I will be highlighting one of the mark. products I sell!
So I thought I would start off with the very first mark. product I ever used.

Get A Tint Tinted Moisturizer & Lotion with SPF 15

I use this everyday! It goes on very smoothly and feels good on my face. I have super dry skin so I was worried about it's ability to actually moisturize my face. But it really does. And a lot goes a long way too! I like knowing that I'm protecting my skin at the same time. But one of my favorite things about this product...you can get away with this as an "all over" foundation. There are so many days that I rub this on, sweep a few strokes of blush (I'm so naturally pale I need the help!), a little mascara and then I'm good to go! It gives a gentle "sun-kissed" glow...looks like I've spent the day out in the sun. When I really just climbed out of bed :) The ONLY downside is you do have to wash your hands after applying it. But the natural glow is so worth the 10 seconds it takes to wash your hands! OH, and it's only $12...can't get much better then that!

Check out this product and SO many other great finds at my mark. site

The 8 Month Switch

Lindley Belle turned 8 months old on Sunday. I feel like I have been saying "this is my favorite stage" every month since she was born. I think that's a wonderful thing and I hope I continue to say that every month. In the last month she crossed over from looking at me with "are you my mother?" eyes to "you are my mother!" smiles. Her smiles are reminders to me that my role as her mother has started to set up shop in her little heart and I am overwhelemed by the responsibility that comes with that. I think about my own mother every time Lindley Belle smiles at me. I think about how my heart is so full of imprints my mother has left in my life, and that encourages me to focus on the big picture for Lindley Belle. I want to serve my daughter with her future in mind. I of course want to stop and enjoy the daily little moments with her as well, (she has just started to hug me really tight - it's the BEST!) but my role as her mother is so much bigger then just a daily hug. BUT even more importantly, Lindley Belle's smiles that let me know my role in her life reminds me that she is watching everything I do, including the role I play as her daddy's help mate. That role is what really overwhelms me. Lindley Belle is watching how I treat her daddy. She loves her daddy and she needs to see that I respect him, love on him, protect him and honor him. When Craig comes home from work, Lindley Belle smiles and giggles with pure joy to have him home. Everyday I watch her do that and I think "wow, that is how I should greet him too!". I want her to see me smile and giggle with pure joy because my husband has come home! As my first Mother's Day approches, I want to stay focused on mothering with a future goal. I want to stay focused on Lindley Belle watching me love her daddy the way he deserves.

This is my favorite "are you my mother?" look:
